Our AML and Verification Policy
This page sets out how we verify your identity, monitor transactions and meet our anti-money-laundering obligations. We are an independently operated online casino, and this policy applies to every player on our platform.
Our Commitment to AML Rules
We hold licence 8048/JAZ2020-045 issued by the Curaçao licensing authority, and we operate under its anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing rules. Since our launch in 2020, we have treated these obligations as a condition of doing business, not an administrative afterthought.
Our compliance programme is reviewed annually and covers risk assessment, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, reporting and staff training. Every member of our team receives AML training appropriate to their role, and suspicious activity is escalated to our Money Laundering Reporting Officer for assessment.
When We Verify Your Account
Verification is built into your account lifecycle at defined trigger points, so you always know what to expect and when.
- At registration: we confirm your name, date of birth and address against trusted data sources, and screen your details against sanctions and politically-exposed-person lists.
- Before your first withdrawal: we require full identity verification, proof of address and payment method ownership.
- At activity thresholds: where deposits, winnings or withdrawal patterns reach levels set in our internal risk policy, we may repeat or refresh verification.
- On a risk basis: changes to your profile, unusual patterns or information from payment providers can trigger re-verification at any time.
Documents we accept
| Check | Accepted documents |
|---|---|
| Identity | Passport, driving licence or national ID card (valid, in date) |
| Address | Utility bill, bank statement or official letter issued within the last 3 months |
| Payment method | Photo of the card (first six and last four digits visible), bank statement, or screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name |
How Verification Works
Submitting documents takes most players under ten minutes. Here is the process from start to finish.
- Log in and open the Verification section of your account.
- Upload clear, uncropped photos or PDFs of each required document.
- Our compliance team reviews your submission and checks it against our records.
- If anything is unclear, we contact you by email or live chat with specific instructions.
- Once approved, your account is marked as verified and withdrawals proceed without repeat checks.
Standard submissions are reviewed within 24 hours, and most are approved faster. Complex cases, such as documents in languages our reviewers must have translated, can take up to 3 business days.
Your documents are stored on encrypted servers with access restricted to authorised compliance staff. We never share verification data with third parties except where we are legally required to do so, and uploads are transferred over an encrypted connection.
When We Ask for Source of Funds
For the majority of players, standard verification is all we ever need. Where the level or pattern of your play reaches thresholds in our risk policy, we may ask you to confirm where the money you deposit comes from.
This is a legal requirement designed to ensure that funds used on our platform come from legitimate activity. It is not an accusation and does not affect your standing with us.
Typical evidence includes recent payslips, a tax return, a pension statement, bank statements showing regular income, or a solicitor's letter confirming an inheritance or property sale. We only ever need enough to satisfy our regulatory duty, and we tell you exactly what will work before you start.
How We Monitor Transactions
Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes through automated screening and, where flagged, manual review. Our monitoring looks at transaction size, frequency, payment method changes and behaviour that does not fit your usual profile.
Two rules matter to you in practice. First, we return withdrawals to the same method you used to deposit wherever technically possible; if you deposited by card, your withdrawal goes back to that card. Second, if the deposited amount has not been fully played through, we may ask for additional verification before releasing a withdrawal of the unplayed portion.
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | £20 |
| Minimum withdrawal | £20 |
| Maximum withdrawal | £5,000 per day |
| E-wallet processing time | 0-24 hours |
| Card and bank transfer time | 1-3 business days |
Where a transaction raises a concern we cannot resolve, we are required to report it to the relevant financial intelligence authority. We are prohibited from telling you when such a report has been made.
If Verification Fails or Is Refused
We prefer to resolve verification issues with you directly, and in most cases we can. Where problems persist, the following outcomes apply.
If a document is unclear or expired, we contact you with the reason and give you a reasonable window to supply a replacement; your deposits remain available during this period.
If you do not respond to a verification request, we suspend withdrawals from your account until the outstanding documents are received. Your balance remains yours and is paid once verification completes.
If we establish that a document is fraudulent, that you are under 18, that you are not the true owner of the payment method used, or that you are attempting to conceal the source of funds, we close the account. In cases involving suspected fraud or money laundering, we may hold the balance pending the outcome of our investigation and our regulatory reporting obligations.
If we establish that you are resident in a restricted jurisdiction, such as the USA, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Russia or Ukraine, we close the account in line with our licence terms.
How Long We Keep Records
We retain your identity documents, verification records and transaction history for a minimum of five years after your account closes, as required under our Curaçao licence and international AML standards. In cases linked to an ongoing investigation, the retention period may be extended.
Retention exists so that we can demonstrate to the regulator that our checks were properly performed. After the retention period expires, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the records. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time by writing to [email protected], and our live chat team is available 24/7 if you have questions about this policy.
Swiper Casino FAQ
Can I withdraw before my verification is complete?
No. We verify your identity, address and payment method before the first withdrawal. Once approved, subsequent withdrawals are not re-checked unless a threshold or risk trigger applies.
Why was I asked for a source of funds after months of playing?
Your cumulative deposits or a change in your pattern of play reached a threshold in our risk policy. This is a routine legal requirement, not a complaint about your account.
How long does verification take?
Most submissions are reviewed within 24 hours. Complex cases can take up to 3 business days, and we contact you if we need anything further.
Do you keep my documents after verification?
Yes, for a minimum of five years after your account closes, as our licence requires. After that we delete or anonymise them.
What happens if I ignore a verification request?
Withdrawals are suspended until we receive the documents. Your balance stays yours and is released once verification is complete.
